Last night, the founders of BullyBelly had the privilege of attending one of the most time-honored and meaningful celebrations in American military culture—the United States Marine Corps Birthday Ball. This year marked an extraordinary milestone: the 250th birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps.
As a veteran-owned company, it was not only an honor to be present—it was a reminder of the history, tradition, and unwavering spirit that inspire our Military Tribute Collection.
The U.S. Marine Corps was founded on November 10, 1775, when the Continental Congress established two battalions of Marines to serve at sea and on land. Each year since, Marines around the world pause to honor the legacy, sacrifices, and values of those who have come before them.
But the Marine Corps Birthday Ball is much more than a formal gathering—it’s a ceremony rich with meaning and symbolism.
The first official Marine Corps Ball was held in 1925, and since then, Marines—from Washington, D.C., to deployed units overseas—celebrate with ceremonies that include:
