Veterans Day began as Armistice Day, marking the end of World War I on November 11, 1918. In 1954, it was renamed Veterans Day to honor all who have served in the U.S. militaryāpast, present, and future.
Unlike Memorial Day, which honors those who made the ultimate sacrifice, Veterans Day celebrates all service members who have worn the uniform and defended the values we hold dear. Itās a day to pause, reflect, and say two simple but powerful words: Thank you.
